My daughter’s first birthday will be coming up shortly, and so we’re going to get together with both sides of our family to celebrate at P.F. Chang’s.
There won’t be that many of us…but still, a bunch of people going out to eat at a restaurant won’t be cheap for us, since we’re treating!
So what’s the first thing I did when planning it? I went to see how I could get gift cards at a discount. Between a cashback site, and a coupon that was good that day, I ended up saving a little over 25% on the gift cards I bought. No one will know we got the gift cards at a discount (unless we tell them of course!) but we are very happy to be saving so much.
I know we aren’t the only ones who like to save on things like going out to eat, or at stores we shop at.
I mean, who doesn’t like to save money when they go shopping or out to eat?
That’s why I buy discount gift cards from sites like:
- Gift Card Granny: They compare the prices of many of the discount gift card sites so you can find the best price and buy through that link.
- Raise: You can also use code 50RAISEAF to get an additional $5 off $50 or more, making the savings even greater!
- CardPool: They have a lot of discount gift cards as well.
…there are also many others out there. The important thing to check is that they guarantee that the gift card will be valid!
Before you think that these will let you buy gift cards at stores you’d never go to…you’re definitely wrong. Here are just a few stores you’ll be able to buy gift cards at a discount to:
- Target, Barnes & Nobles, Kohl’s,
- Bloomingdales, Walmart, Starbucks,
- Outback Steakhouse, Subway, H&M,
- Nordstrom, Brooks Brothers, Macy’s
- …and so many more!
I really enjoy using discount gift card sites to buy gift cards. What I love to do is then combine it with a store promotion to save even more. Not that long ago, I bought a gift card to Talbot’s at a discount, and then used it when they had a big sale going on in the store. I bought a sweater, and between the gift card discount and the sale, I ended up saving over 60% on the sweater. I was really happy about that.
So the way I see it, you can use the gift cards to save on stores that you would never be lucky enough to get a discount at…or use it as a way to save even more money when there is a sale going on!
